Manapullikavu, Hindu temple in Palakkad, India
The Manapullikavu temple stands along the Palakkad-Chittur road, featuring traditional Kerala architecture with intricate wooden carvings and stone sculptures throughout its structure.
The temple originated from Sri Mattappilly Bhadrakali Mana, a Kerala Brahmin family, and later transferred from Kenath Family ownership to the Malabar Devaswom Board administration.
The temple celebrates numerous festivals including Vishu, Onam, and Diwali, with the Manapulli Vela festival featuring elephant processions and traditional performances.
Located 200 meters from National Highway 544, the temple welcomes visitors daily and maintains special celebration schedules during the Malayalam month of Kumbam.
During the annual Vela festival, seventeen elephants participate in the temple procession, accompanied by fireworks and traditional Panchavadya musical performances.
