Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, Palace in India
Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace is an example of Indo-Islamic architecture and was the summer residence of the Mysorean ruler Tipu Sultan.
The construction of the palace was started by Hyder Ali within the walls of the Bangalore Fort and completed during the reign of Tipu Sultan in 1791.
The entire palace is built of teak wood, adorned with pillars, arches and balconies that are intricately carved with motifs of Hindu deities.
Today, it serves as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the life of the ruler.
Despite numerous invasions and the ravages of time, the palace still retains much of its original grandeur.
