Barjora community development block

Barjora is an administrative block in Bankura Sadar subdivision in West Bengal, spread across red laterite soil with patches of small forests. The area contains schools, health centers, and is connected by State Highway 9 to larger towns.

The region was controlled by the Hindu Rajas of Bishnupur from the 7th century until 1760, when British authority took over. This long heritage shaped the area's development and structure through the centuries.
