Atharanala, Heritage bridge in Puri, India
Atharanala is a medieval era bridge with eighteen arches located at the entrance of Puri.
Built during the reign of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty in the 12th century, Atharanala holds historical significance.
It has been an integral part of the Jagannath culture, as it is situated on the traditional pathway of the famous Rath Yatra.
The bridge is still in use today, catering to local traffic and pedestrians.
Atharanala is declared a Monument of National Importance in India.
