Huzurpaga, Girls' high school and college in Narayan Peth, India
Huzurpaga is a girls' educational institution in central Pune spread across multiple buildings from the main campus to an expanded facility. It offers instruction from primary through junior college levels using the Maharashtra state curriculum in English.
The school was founded in 1884 by two prominent Indian thinkers and started with just 18 girls in its first year. As enrollment grew over the decades, the institution expanded to additional buildings to accommodate more students.
The school is named after a prominent local family and has educated generations of girls from across the city. Students continue to shape the neighborhood's daily rhythm as they move through its streets on their way to and from classes.
The campus sits on Laxmi Road in the Narayan Peth district, accessible by foot from public transportation stops nearby. Admission requires standard documents such as birth certificates and proof of residence for both student and parent.
The original campus became so crowded with students that the school opened a second main building nearby to handle the overflow. This secondary location, called Kibe Wada, now functions as part of the larger school complex.
