Amritdhara falls, Natural waterfall in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district, Chhattisgarh, India

Amritdhara Falls is a waterfall where water drops from the Hasdeo River in the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district of Chhattisgarh. The cascade forms a white water column as it descends between the surrounding rock formations.

In 1936, the King of Koriya State established a traditional fair at this site, marking its importance as a gathering place. The waterfall has since been connected to local traditions and celebrations.

A Shiva temple located near the waterfall draws pilgrims who visit to pray and offer flowers during religious ceremonies. The space feels like a place where worship and nature come together.

The falls are reachable via NH 43 from nearby towns, though the final stretch requires walking on foot through local paths. The best time to visit is during and just after the monsoon season when water levels are highest.

Water flows here throughout the year, though the experience changes dramatically with the seasons. During dry months the cascade appears gentler, while monsoon rains transform it into a powerful force.
