Kesari Wada

Kesari Wada is a three-story mansion in Pune featuring large wooden entrance doors carved with lion motifs. The building now houses a museum displaying newspapers, personal belongings, and artifacts from an important period in Indian history.

The building was acquired in 1905 and became the headquarters of a newspaper that shaped thinking about independence. Ideas spread from this location that influenced how people viewed change in India.
