Sa'd al-Saltaneh Caravanserai

The Sa'd al-Saltaneh Caravanserai spans 2.6 hectares with seven interconnected sections, featuring long vaulted passages filled with numerous merchant shops and traditional courtyards.

This Qajar-era structure, completed in 1895 under the patronage of Sa'd al-Saltaneh, maintained its position as a vital trading center until the aftermath of World War I.

The Myths and Shahnameh Museum within the caravanserai displays clay sculptures depicting stories from Persian mythology and literature through detailed artistic representations.

Visitors can explore various sections of the complex through the main entrance on Imam Khomeini Street, where traditional craftsmen sell their goods alongside cafes and restaurants.

The structure contains the largest indoor caravanserai globally, with specialized areas including the Sa'diyeh Serai's ten two-floor chambers originally designed for noble guests.
