Dariush Grand Hotel is a large building on Kish Island featuring architecture inspired by Persepolis that blends traditional Persian elements with modern style. It contains 185 rooms across four floors, multiple restaurants, a lobby with views of the sea or gardens, and facilities such as a swimming pool and spa for relaxation.
The hotel was built by Iranian businessman Hossein Sabet in the early 2000s and opened in 2003, making it one of the largest and most modern in Iran at that time. Its architecture draws inspiration from Persepolis, reflecting Iran's ancient royal past.
The hotel is named after Darius I, an ancient Persian king, linking it to Iran's long history through its design. Guests notice how the architecture and decorations reflect elements of Persepolis, blending traditional Persian styles with contemporary comfort.
Check-in begins at 2 p.m. and check-out is by noon, with credit cards accepted as payment though not all international cards are taken. The hotel is centrally located on the island and offers taxi and car rental services for easy exploration of beaches, shops, and local markets.
The hotel was originally planned to be run by the major hotel group Rezidor, but they withdrew after a few years. Today it is owned by Seyed Abdolreza Mousavi and managed by Hamidreza Makhmalbaf, making it a significant local enterprise.
