Emam Reza Stadium

Emam Reza Stadium is a football venue in Tehran with an artificial turf pitch and stands for about 10,000 spectators. The facility serves as a training ground and hosts matches for local clubs and sporting events.

The facility opened in 2010 as part of Tehran's sports infrastructure expansion. Initially both rival football clubs used the ground for training in a shared arrangement.

The stadium bears the name of the eighth Shia Imam and serves as a training ground for Esteghlal Football Club, a major team in Iranian sports.

The stadium is easily accessible by public transport and has parking available for visitors. This makes it convenient for fans to reach the venue from different parts of the city.

From 2010 to 2016, two major rival football clubs shared the training ground despite their intense competition. This unusual arrangement between Esteghlal and Persepolis reserves was remarkable in the city's sports history.
