Haj Samad Khan Mosque, Religious building in Rasht, Iran
The mosque features a 24-square-meter prayer niche adorned with intricate plasterwork and contains two detailed inscriptions on its walls.
Built in 1334 AH by merchant Haj Samad Khan Shirvani, this structure stands as the second historical mosque in the city of Rasht.
The mosque maintains active prayer services across two levels, with the ground floor designated for men and the upper floor for women.
Located on Saadi Street in the Baghirabad district, the mosque spans 450 square meters and includes a central courtyard with turquoise-tiled fountain.
The mosque's wooden pulpit, crafted by master artisan Haj Baba, employs traditional joinery techniques without any metal nails or screws.
