Ilchi Mosque

Ilchi Mosque is a sanctuary in District 3 built from brick, mortar, and tile in traditional Persian style. Its prayer hall and exterior walls display geometric patterns typical of Safavid design.

The mosque was founded by Saheb Soltan Beigom, daughter of a Shah's courtier, with construction beginning in 1686 under Mohammad Ali ben Ostad ALibeyk. It emerged during a period when women served as patrons of major religious structures.
