Mehr Padin Castle

Mehr Padin Castle is an earthen fortification in Yazd Province featuring nine circular defense towers and double fortified walls surrounded by a protective moat. The structure demonstrates heavy construction with thick mud walls and reinforced corners for maximum defense.

The fortress dates to the 8th century of the lunar calendar and blends architectural features from both Samanid and Safavid periods. This mix of styles reflects the different rulers who controlled the region across centuries.
