Jameh Mosque of Farumad

The Jameh Mosque of Farumad stretches across 35 meters in length and features two main iwans on the north and south sides of its structure.

Built during the Khwarazmian period in the 12th century, the mosque underwent substantial renovations around 1320, incorporating architectural elements from multiple dynasties.

The mosque houses the tomb of Ibn Yamin, an eighth-century poet, and displays intricate stucco work combined with turquoise tiles throughout its interior.

Located northeast of Shahrud near the Shahrud-Mashhad road, the mosque maintains its function as an active religious center in Meyami County.

The entrance portal exhibits detailed brickwork patterns and ornamental tablets, while the altar features specific stucco decorations in turquoise and ultramarine colors.
