Jameh Mosque of Zavareh, Historical mosque in Zavareh, Iran.

The Jameh Mosque of Zavareh is a house of worship in Ardestan County built with brick and plaster following traditional Persian construction methods. The building features four courtyards surrounded by various rooms and passages that form its overall structure.

Construction began in 1135 under Abu Taher Hosein bin Ghali bin Ahmad and was completed in multiple phases through 1169. The building's completion over several decades shows how such structures were erected during that era.

The mosque displays Seljuk design principles through its four courtyards and how these spaces connect to create a sense of order. Visitors can observe how this layout guides people through different areas for prayer and gathering.

The building sits in Ardestan County in Isfahan Province and maintains regular prayer times that visitors should respect. The best time to explore is outside of prayer hours when you can move through the spaces freely.

An inscription carved into the structure dates to 1156 and documents an important moment in the building's development. This marking makes it one of the earliest known examples of the four-courtyard design that would later become common across the region.
