Iran Mall, Shopping mall in District 22, Tehran, Iran
The shopping centre spreads across seven floors and houses more than 700 shops as well as leisure facilities under one roof. The complex also includes exhibition spaces, restaurants, and a public library.
Construction began under entrepreneur Ali Ansari with support from Ayandeh Bank. The first operational phase opened in May 2018 and initially covered part of the planned area.
The name reflects the country itself and marks a new kind of retail venue in the capital. A recreated bazaar inside displays arches and decorations that recall old trade routes.
The centre offers several parking garages and a hotel for multi-day visitors. The different levels are connected by escalators and lifts.
During the pandemic in 2020, the building temporarily converted into a medical centre with thousands of beds. A vaccination site was later set up there as well, serving tens of thousands of people.
