Belvedere Marittimo

Belvedere Marittimo is a coastal town in the Province of Cosenza that extends along the Tyrrhenian Sea with two distinct areas: the medieval old town perched above and a harbor district at sea level. The upper section contains historical buildings like the Paolo Emilio tower, while the lower area offers commercial services and beach access.

The town took shape under Norman rule in the early period when fortifications and a castle were built on the cliff. This early foundation established the framework that guided the settlement's later development.
