Bardolino, Wine municipality on Lake Garda, Italy

Bardolino is a municipality on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in the Province of Verona, located in the Veneto region. The area sits about 65 meters above sea level and the landscape is dominated by vineyards producing local wine varieties including Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara.

Archaeological remains show that people settled in this area during prehistoric times, leaving traces across the landscape. During the Republic of Venice period, the location grew into an important military and trading base for the Venetian fleet.

The name Bardolino comes from ancient Roman times and reflects the area's long connection to settlement and trade. Today, wine production shapes how the community operates and how locals engage with their surroundings throughout the year.

The town is easily reached by regular bus services and ferry connections that link it to other communities around Lake Garda. Arriving by boat from the lake offers a pleasant view of the shoreline and makes it simple to explore the wider area.

The Zeni Wine Museum displays old equipment and objects from winemaking across different historical periods. Visitors can taste various local wines here and learn about the traditional techniques that winemakers have used in the region for generations.
