Palazzo dei Conservatori, Palazzo in Italy
The Conservators' Palace is one of the buildings located on Capitoline Hill, in Rome's historic center.
Designed by Michelangelo and built between 1563 and 1567, the palace was formerly used by the magistrates, or 'conservators', from which it takes its name.
Today, it houses a remarkable collection of classical and renaissance art, including sculptures and frescoes.
It forms part of the larger Capitoline Museums, making it an important cultural site for visitors.
Externally the building appears to be three stories high but internally it is actually five stories high.
