The Capitoline Museums are a collection of art and archaeological museums in Piazza del Campidoglio.
Founded in 1471, the Capitoline Museums are considered the world's first museum.
The museums house a large collection of ancient Roman statues, inscriptions, and other artifacts.
The museums are open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm.
The Capitoline Museums host the symbol of Rome, the she-wolf nursing Romulus and Remus.
