Pontecorvo

Pontecorvo is a municipality in the Province of Frosinone situated between Rome and Naples with terrain that rises and falls across different elevations. The town shows a mix of old buildings and everyday life shaped by its position in southern Lazio.

The settlement formed in the 9th century around a bridge called Ponte Corvo, from which its name derives. A ruler named Rodoaldo built a fortress there to secure independence from the city of Capua.
