The church dates from the 11th century and underwent major expansion in 1111 after receiving the relics of Saint Ermolao from Constantinople.
The interior displays three naves separated by granite columns with Ionic and Corinthian capitals, housing multiple religious artworks from different periods.
Visitors can access the church at Via Don Minzoni 47 in Calci, located 10 kilometers from the city center of Pisa.
The baptismal font contains four basins carved from a single marble block, decorated with 12th-century reliefs from the Biduino school.
