Seiser Alm, Mountain pasture and ski resort in South Tyrol, Italy.

Seiser Alm is a high-altitude pasture and ski resort in South Tyrol, sitting between 1600 and 2400 meters (5250 and 7875 feet) above sea level. The slopes are served by lifts during winter, while a network of hiking trails crosses the plateau in summer.

A chairlift was built here in the 1930s, marking the start of winter tourism in the area. Before that, farmers used the meadows exclusively for summer grazing.

The name derives from the Ladin language and refers to the traditional alpine farming that has been practiced here for centuries. Today, cows graze on the meadows during summer, while visitors experience the landscape through hiking.

The main access points are by cable car from Kastelruth or from the Val Gardena valley, while the plateau itself is closed to private cars in summer. Hikers and cyclists reach different areas through well-marked trails ranging from easy to challenging.

During summer months, a free shuttle bus system circulates across the plateau, connecting hikers between different trail starting points. This service allows visitors to cover longer distances without needing to return to the original departure point.
