Ateneo Veneto

The Ateneo Veneto is a palazzo in San Marco featuring architectural elements designed by Antonio Contin, with several halls that host cultural activities. The main auditorium and other rooms are used for lectures, debates, and various events throughout the year.

Founded in 1810, it was established to unify various art societies and scientific organizations across Venice, following the model of the Académie de France. This merger marked an important moment for reviving intellectual life after the fall of the Republic.
