Porto Rotondo

Porto Rotondo is a harbor town on Sardinia's coast, spread across land between two gulfs. The settlement features an equipped marina with numerous boat berths and several beaches with distinct characteristics.

The town was founded in 1964 by Venetian entrepreneurs who transformed this Sardinian coastal area into a modern residential destination. This founding marked the beginning of what would become a significant port settlement.

The central square, Piazzetta San Marco, showcases Venetian design and serves as a gathering place for residents and visitors alike. The nearby Church of San Lorenzo shapes the spiritual and social rhythm of the community.

The best time to visit is from May through September, when weather is mild and beaches are easily accessible. There is ample parking, and the area is walkable with pathways running along the shoreline.

A yacht club here hosts an international fishing tournament each August that draws anglers from around the world. This specialized event has given the settlement a reputation as a hub for certain water sports.
