Volterra City Museum and Art Gallery

Palazzo Minucci-Solaini houses an art collection displaying paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts arranged across the building's rooms. The works span different periods and are presented in the palazzo's original spaces with period furnishings.

The collection began forming in the early 1900s and was later consolidated when artworks moved from another city building into this palazzo. This relocation brought together scattered pieces and created a dedicated space for the city's artistic heritage.

The rooms display works by Renaissance masters such as Rosso Fiorentino and Luca Signorelli, who shaped the artistic tradition of this region. Walking through, you sense the connection between the craftsmanship of that era and the daily life of the city.

The building is fully accessible and easily reached from the city center, with proper facilities for all visitors. The rooms are well lit and calm, making it comfortable to spend time looking at the works.
