San Girolamo

San Girolamo is a Baroque church in the Cannaregio neighborhood with a stone facade featuring Corinthian columns, niches with statues, and a triangular pediment. The interior displays multiple altarpieces and is defined by a Carrara marble altar decorated with bronze ornaments.

The church was founded in 1390 and received its present Baroque form through a comprehensive renovation in 1705 under architect Domenico Rossi. This transformation shaped the building's appearance and interior lasting.

The church houses religious artworks and altarpieces that have held meaning for local worshippers over centuries. The main altar made from Carrara marble with bronze decorations forms the spiritual center of the space.
