Bosco Littorio, Archaeological site in Gela, Italy.

The Bosco Littorio archaeological area contains ten structures extending from an ancient port to the acropolis, featuring quadrangular designs and tall walls.

The emporium of Gela prospered from the 8th century BC until 480 BC, when natural events, including potential tsunamis, led to its destruction.

Excavations in 1999 revealed terracotta altars from 480 BC depicting mythological figures, now displayed at the Regional Archaeological Museum of Gela.

The site, maintained by the Forestry Corps of the Sicilian Region, started welcoming visitors in 2009 and remains freely accessible throughout the year.

The structures within the emporium contain preserved entrance doors with jambs and architraves, along with visible holes from ancient roof beam placements.
