Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea

The museum occupies Casa Cavazzini, a restored sixteenth-century building in the historic center, displaying permanent collections across two floors and temporary exhibitions on the ground level.

The building belonged to the Colombatti family in 1540 before Dante Cavazzini acquired it in 1937, leading to renovations that revealed fourteenth-century frescoes beneath the walls.

The museum contains 4,000 artworks, including the Astaldi Collection of Italian art from 1920-1960 and the FRIAM Collection featuring American artists' contributions after 1976.

Located at Via Cavour 14 in Udine, the museum received 20,060 visitors in 2021 and maintains regular exhibitions of both permanent collections and temporary installations.

The preserved 1930s Rationalist apartment of the Cavazzini family contains original furnishings and wall paintings created by artist Afro Basaldella in 1938.
