Parco Fluviale dell'Alta Val d'Elsa

The Upper Val d'Elsa River Park extends over 203 hectares along the Elsa River, featuring wooden bridges, waterfalls, and natural formations within a Mediterranean landscape.

The Steccaia and Callone Reale, constructed in the 11th century, demonstrate advanced hydraulic engineering methods used to channel river water toward the city.

The park contains the Caldane thermal springs, which have provided therapeutic waters since Etruscan and Roman times and continue to attract visitors today.

The Sentierelsa trail spans 4 kilometers from San Marziale Bridge to Spugna Bridge, with equipped passages and resting areas placed along the river banks.

The Diborrato lake forms where the Elsa River creates a 15-meter waterfall, providing a natural habitat for southern crested newts and stream gobies.
