Castello di Miradolo, Gothic Revival castle in San Secondo di Pinerolo, Italy.
Castello di Miradolo is a three-story castle in San Secondo di Pinerolo built in the Gothic Revival style. Its facade displays characteristic pointed arches, triangular ornamental details, and heraldic decorations arranged across the structure.
The castle developed from a 15th-century building that underwent major transformation during the first half of the 19th century. Maria Elisabetta Ferrero della Marmora oversaw this renovation and gave the structure its current Gothic Revival appearance.
Today the castle serves as a space for art shows and musical performances that happen regularly throughout the year. Visitors can experience contemporary works and local artistic projects that bring the building to life as a cultural center.
The castle sits at the entrance to Val Chisone valley, roughly 40 kilometers from Turin and easy to visit. A cafe with outdoor seating in the interior courtyard offers a place to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
The castle grounds include a 6-hectare English-style park with ancient trees, including a Lebanon cedar and a giant sequoia. These unusual plant species shape the park-like landscape and make strolling through the property a distinctive experience.
