Castello Suardi, Medieval castle in Bianzano, Italy.
The castle features a square layout with double walls, two defensive towers, and stone construction with detailed ashlar work at its base.
Built between the 13th and 14th centuries, the Suardi Castle served as a strategic fortification along the trade route connecting the Italian plains to Central Europe.
The entrance hall displays Lombard school frescoes depicting playful putti and four cardinal virtues, along with symbolic flower of life decorations.
The castle interior can be accessed through guided tours arranged by the Bianzano Town Council or Pro Bianzano Cultural and Tourist Association.
Every two years in August, the castle hosts a historical celebration commemorating the 1367 marriage between Giovanni Suardi and Bernarda Visconti.
