Castello Vallaise, 17th-century noble residence in Arnad, Italy.

Castello Vallaise is a 17th-century Baroque residence featuring three floors, two square towers, and a double loggia decorated with stone columns arranged around a central courtyard. The structure exemplifies the architectural style common to the Aosta Valley region during that period.

The Baroque residence was begun by the Vallaise family and underwent several structural changes across different historical periods. These modifications reflected the family's evolving needs and preferences over time.

The Hall of Honor displays frescoes showing ten properties that belonged to the Vallaise family across the Aosta Valley region. These paintings reflect how the noble family held power and influence throughout the area.

The castle is currently closed to visitors while undergoing restoration funded by community resources and national lottery proceeds. Check ahead about current access status and potential reopening dates before planning a visit.

A hexagonal chapel tucked within the castle grounds holds a baroque altar made of polychrome marble, dedicated to Saints Joseph, Anthony, and the Virgin Mary. This hidden religious structure reveals the family's personal devotion.
