Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta

The Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta is a church in Chivasso built with three naves and a terracotta-decorated facade showing 15th-century artistic details. Inside, you find sculptural and painted works that reflect the artistic traditions of the Piedmont region.

Construction started in 1415 under Marquis Theodore II of Montferrat and continued over several decades. The main nave vault was raised in 1475 and the bell tower finished in 1487.

The church houses a sculptural group showing the Lamentation over Christ with Burgundian artistic influences visible in its style. These 15th-century works shape how the interior feels when you walk through it.
