Santi Gervasio e Protasio, Neoclassical church in Gorgonzola, Italy.

Santi Gervasio e Protasio is a Neoclassical church in Gorgonzola designed with a Latin cross plan, featuring a single nave and a large transept topped by a dome. The building displays balanced classical proportions combined with structural elements that organize its interior spaces.

Construction began in 1806 when Duke Gian Galeazzo Serbelloni commissioned architect Simone Cantoni to design the building. The project took shape during a period of significant religious and architectural renewal in the broader area.

The church is dedicated to saints Gervasius and Protasius, two early Christian martyrs whose veneration shaped local religious life. Visitors encounter multiple artistic works throughout the interior that reflect the spiritual role this building has held in the community.

The church is located at Piazza della Chiesa and follows the Ambrosian Rite under the Archdiocese of Milan. Opening times may vary depending on religious services and local celebrations throughout the year.

The church complex includes two symmetrical side buildings: the Oratory of the Holy Trinity on the right and the Serbelloni Mausoleum on the left. These companion structures are integral parts of the overall design and merit equal attention alongside the main building.
