Saint Ambrose Church

Saint Ambrose Church is a baroque structure with a broad central nave and light-colored marble altar at its heart. The side facades feature decorative terracotta cladding that adds texture and warmth to the building's exterior.

The building opened in 1916 as the result of a design by architect Claudio Latocca working with Olgiati and Sartorio. Its construction came during a period of urban growth for the surrounding community.

The church follows the Ambrosian Rite, an Eastern-influenced Catholic tradition distinct from Roman practices, which shapes how services unfold. Local residents gather here for major feasts and daily worship, making it central to the neighborhood's spiritual rhythm.

An underground crypt beneath the church holds the remains of Blessed Carino of Balsamo, a revered local figure. The crypt also contains memorial plaques that honor past members of the community.
