Church of Santa Maria Assunta

Church of Santa Maria Assunta is a Renaissance-style church building in Esine featuring a rectangular nave with a wooden ceiling supported by pointed arches. The interior is decorated throughout with frescoes depicting scenes from Christian faith.

The building originated in the 6th or 7th century but underwent major reconstruction in the late 15th century. The facade was remodeled in 1776, giving it the form it holds today.
