Santa Maria Assunta

The Santa Maria Assunta church features three naves supported by columns and contains altars decorated with 17th-century marble elements throughout the interior.

The church origins trace back to a monastery established in 997 when Bishop Rozone commissioned Abbot Vitale to construct a religious complex in the area.

The ceiling displays an 1838 fresco by Sebastiano Santi depicting the Assumption of Mary and the four Evangelists in detailed religious imagery.

The church maintains regular religious services including daily masses, while volunteers participate in various maintenance and cleaning activities throughout the week.

The western portico of the Romanesque cloister remains intact, preserving architectural elements from the original monastery structure built during medieval times.
