Villa Fürstemberg

Villa Fürstemberg is a Venetian residence north of Mestre featuring a three-story palatial structure with symmetrical openings and the Fürstenberg coat of arms displayed on its facade. The building combines Renaissance elements with refined architectural details that reflect its status as a significant historical property.

The property originated as a 16th-century house owned by Alvise Foscarini and was later transformed into a grand residence. It changed hands several times, passing through the Carreggiani, Papadopoli, and Fürstenberg families before reaching its current form in 1935.

The sculpture park on the grounds displays permanent art pieces from different artists, which visitors have been able to explore since April 2024. This collection creates a space where contemporary art meets the historical setting of the residence.

The building currently serves as the headquarters of Banca Ifis and offers scheduled visits arranged through the Grandi Giardini Italiani organization. Plan your visit in advance to gain access to both the interior spaces and the surrounding grounds.

The chapel on the estate was renamed from San Nicolò to Santa Teresa d'Avila during its restoration in 1841. This change reflects an important shift in the religious character of the site.
