Chiesa di San Girolamo

Chiesa di San Girolamo is a Gothic church located in Mestre. The interior showcases high wooden roof trusses and ribbed vaults that display the transition from Romanesque to Gothic architectural language.

This church was established in 1261 on the grounds of a hermit's dwelling and served as a place of worship for centuries. It suffered damage during regional conflicts and underwent major reconstruction in 1520 when it was reconsecrated.

The church is named after Saint Jerome, an early Church father and scholar. Inside, visitors encounter paintings and religious artworks that reflect spiritual devotion across different periods.
