Museo M9 Mestre

The M9 Museum presents eight thematic sections across two floors, utilizing multimedia installations and interactive displays to narrate Italian history through demographic and social changes.

Inaugurated in December 2018 through a Venice Foundation project, the museum occupies a transformed industrial complex designed by Berlin studio Sauerbruch Hutton.

The permanent collection M9 Orizzonti examines the transformations of Italian society throughout the twentieth century using advanced digital technology and immersive experiences.

Located near public transportation hubs in Mestre, the museum includes a library, research center, auditorium, and facilities for educational programs and temporary exhibitions.

The museum functions as a permanent laboratory of contemporary history, incorporating augmented reality experiences and high-definition digital displays to engage visitors.
