Santa Pudenziana

Santa Pudenziana is a medieval church in Narni featuring three aisles supported by columns and crowned by a prominent bell tower. The decorated facade displays multiple windows that light up the interior, reflecting the architectural style of its period.

This church was built at the end of the 10th century using materials from ancient Roman villas in the region. It was initially called Santa Maria di Visciano before receiving its current dedication.

The church celebrates Saint Pudenziana every May 19th, maintaining a strong connection to its patron saint through religious ceremonies and local traditions.

The church can be reached by walking a one-kilometer trail from Via Tiberina to Visciano village. Parking is available at the destination, making it easy to visit.

The roof features an unusual window with a perpetual calendar and a mysterious tombstone bearing enigmatic numbers. These rare details catch the attention of observant visitors who look closely.
