Fortify building of Civezzano, Military fortification in Civezzano, Italy
The fortification complex consists of three structures: a main fort and two road barriers positioned along strategic mountain passages near Trento.
Construction of this Austro-Hungarian defensive system began in 1868 and concluded in 1876 under the supervision of Francesco Ranzi's company from Trento.
The fortification demonstrates military engineering techniques of the 19th century through its dual-level cannon arrangement and specialized mountain defense solutions.
Located at coordinates 46.084889, 11.174869, the fortification includes underground chambers carved into rock and multiple artillery positions across different levels.
The upper road barrier structure, built between 1869 and 1872 using limestone, later transformed into a wine cellar after its military decommissioning.
