The Delizia Estense is a palace and town hall in Copparo that was originally built as a residence for the Este family. The building displays features from different periods with high ceilings, spacious rooms, old stonework, and frescoes decorating the interior walls.
An earlier building on this site was destroyed in 1509 during conflict with Venice, and Ercole II d'Este had a new palace built between 1540 and 1547. A fire severely damaged it in 1809, but it was restored later in the 19th century and has served as town hall since then.
