Delizia di Fossadalbero

Delizia di Fossadalbero is a fortified country palace near Ferrara, built with defensive walls and towers to protect the family and display their power. The building spreads across a large estate with more than 44 large rooms, many decorated with ornate coffered ceilings.

The Marquis Nicolò III built this place in the early 15th century as a country residence for his family. The estate later became the setting for a family tragedy that left a dark mark on its history.
