Piazza Santa Croce fountain

The Piazza Santa Croce fountain is an ornate structure with a stone basin and carved decorative details, located at the northern section of this major public square in Florence. It stands in front of the Renaissance-era Palazzo Cocchi-Serristori and serves as a focal point in the plaza's layout.

Giuseppe Manetti designed this structure in the 19th century as a recreation of an earlier Baroque fountain that once occupied the same location. This reconstruction maintains a long tradition of water features in this important square near the basilica.
