Monte Tamai, Mountain summit in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy

Monte Tamai is a 1,970-metre summit of the Carnic Alps in the province of Udine, on the borders of the municipalities of Ovaro, Ravascletto and Sutrio. Its top marks the highest point reached by the Zoncolan ski area, and from it the lower Carnia can be seen.

From the top the lower Carnia can be seen, while the neighbouring Pic Chiadin rises to 2,780 metres about 12 km to the south.

Monte Tamai lies on the borders of Ovaro, Ravascletto and Sutrio, and its summit is the highest point of the Zoncolan ski area. The ski lifts and slopes of the Zoncolan resort reach up to this 1,970-metre peak, so the mountain is part of a working winter-sports terrain rather than a remote, unvisited summit.
