Monte Tesoro

Monte Tesoro rises to 1,432 meters (4,698 feet) and marks a natural boundary between the San Martino Valley and Valle Imagna in the Bergamasque Prealps. The mountain sits in Lombardy and features multiple trail systems for hikers to reach the summit.

A 15-meter metal cross was installed at the summit in 1985 to commemorate Italian soldiers who died in military conflicts throughout history. The memorial marks the mountain's connection to national events and sacrifice.

The mountain trails link several villages where locals maintain traditional alpine customs and pass down stories of mountain living. The paths reveal how people have used and inhabited this landscape for generations.

Hikers can reach the peak through various routes, including paths from Forcella Alta, the Valcava pass at Combeli, and Boccio in Carenno. Trail conditions and accessibility change with the season and weather.

An automated weather station in Calolziocorte captures live images of the mountain every five minutes through a permanently installed webcam. This continuous monitoring provides an unusual perspective of the peak throughout all weather conditions.
