Monte Tisiddu

Monte Tisiddu is a mountain ridge in Sardinia with steep limestone cliffs and broad plateau areas. The landscape shifts between bare rock faces and Mediterranean plants spread across several kilometers.

The mountain formed millions of years ago from layers of limestone built up by ancient seas. Over time, erosion and weathering carved out the present-day cliffs and hollow spaces within the rock.

The mountain holds deep meaning for climbers and hikers who explore its rock faces throughout the year. Local communities view it as a central point of connection to the surrounding landscape.

The hiking trails begin from different starting points around Ulassai and are marked with signs. It is wise to start early in the day and bring sturdy shoes and plenty of water.

Hidden beneath the rocks are several caves carved out by natural water erosion over thousands of years. These underground spaces reveal layers of stone and add an extra dimension to exploring the mountain.
