Palazzo Busini Bardi, Renaissance palazzo in central Florence, Italy
The Palazzo Busini Bardi stands on Via dei Benci number 5, featuring a private noble courtyard designed by architect Filippo Brunelleschi around 1430.
Initially constructed for the Busini family in the fifteenth century, the palace later became the property of the Bardi family and underwent transformations over five decades.
During the 1580s, the Camerata Fiorentina, a group of intellectuals and musicians, gathered in the palace rooms to study and revive ancient Greek musical traditions.
The palace now contains multiple residential apartments following renovations in the 1990s, located within walking distance of the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio.
The palace contains preserved wooden ceilings from the sixteenth century and represents the first private noble courtyard constructed in Florence.
